This afternoon's activities included a trip to Bookman's, which unfortunately didn't have the next bookclub selection, Becoming Mrs. Lewis.  I did browse around but didn't find anything I needed, though Tom brought home 6 books.

On our way home we dropped off the free bag of dog food, courtesy of PetSmart's welcome packet, at the shelter, for which they were grateful.

In that industrial area we happened by a landscaping block place.  We stopped in and found just what we needed, a decorative "flow through" block to place in front of the irrigation pipe.

Naturally Brownie has been checking out his yard and noticed the pipe.  Though he didn't seem to realize it (yet!) he could have fit inside and escaped the fenced yard if he wanted to.

Still need to do something with one of the gate gaps,
where we currently just have a board.

Here's the new dog door.
In the reflection you can see him coming over to check it out.

The first thing he did was sniff at the plastic flap, but unfortunately the camera wasn't cooperating so I missed that photo op.   By the time I got the shutter to click he had decided to peek through the glass instead.
