Late afternoon Alex popped over to address the printer issue.  To no one's surprise (at least certainly not mine!) I'd simply made a rookie mistake that in (all likelihood) this little guy would not have made.

It took Alex about a minute 

to instruct my laptop  how to talk to the printer.

It's wonderful to have the use of a printer again!

Alex has agreed to take me to do the Camelback hike tomorrow morning so I can just how much "training" I'll need in order not to embarrass myself (or him) on October 31.  

With toasty temps continuing (we broke another record today, hitting 105) 

I hope we get an early start.
