It was a lot of fun at today's annual Busy Bee Holiday Potluck.  I "possibly" ate too much, yet somehow <g> I still managed to save room for one these cookies (though have already forgotten who made them.)

Monica brought her accordion and played some Christmas songs.

Later Grace helped out during Jingle Bells -

but for some reason she had removed her happy headgear by then.

Many of the ladies had taken the opportunity to wear festive garb and jewelry.

Carol was sporting this cute penguin earring - yes, singular.
The one from her left ear had sadly fallen out 'somewhere' and was MIA.

Louise had on a blinking snowflake necklace.

Everyone enjoyed playing LRC. I had brought fat quarters instead of 5” squares -
but nobody complained.

Grace cracked us up because she didn't want to win; she was happy every time she lost some of her fabrics, and groaned every time a piece got passed back to her.

At our table Carol won the first game, and Pat (who didn’t want 'her' picture taken) won the second one.

We had lots of winners at our table.  Donna was obviously quite pleased with her door prize, a gift certificate to The Other Quilt Shop.

Patti won the drawing for half of the appliqué blocks (she’d made these two pig blocks) but declined them, so now all of the blocks will go into the charity quilt.

UFO #4 got finished in the nick of time last evening!  But since Laura wasn’t at the party (she was at the hospital with a relative having surgery) there was no drawing yet for those of us eligible.

We did have the raffle drawing for Linda Callahan’s stunning appliqué quilt.

The winner turned out to be a friend of Louise’s,
who she knows will be absolutely thrilled to get the phone call.

I brought the not-quite-finished placemats for Show and Tell (where Marcie's rejects caused quite a stir) and there were a few other holiday quilts.

I did fairly well taking pix today with my iPad; Alex would have been proud!  However I didn't even try to crop them so they're not quite up to my standards.

The biggest headache occurred when I went to load them onto my blog, which (according to Alex) SHOULD have been easier than dealing with my camera since (in theory) it would require fewer steps.

However (is anyone surprised?) some photos cooperated
while others absolutely refused to submit.

Who knows why?  I don't even ask any more...
