I went to bed again last night around 10:00 with the election still unresolved.  When I woke at 3:00 am I didn't even bother to check the situation, just took a magic pill to go back to sleep for another several hours.  And when I awoke this morning I still didn't turn on the TV until after I'd sipped my coffee.

And guess what?  Here it is 8:00 am and things are still up in the air.

To  distract myself from the absolute horror

that half of America is voting for tRump

I will TRY to relax in the hot tub,

and then finish up Melodie's quilt this morning.

But here's the incredibly sad truth about a country I have a hard time recognizing these days.

"America is now a different country. Nearly half of the voters have seen Trump in all of his splendor—his infantile tirades, his disastrous and lethal policies, his contempt for democracy in all its forms—and they decided that they wanted more of it. His voters can no longer hide behind excuses about the corruption of Hillary Clinton or their willingness to take a chance on an unproven political novice. They cannot feign ignorance about how Trump would rule. They know, and they have embraced him."
