Once the cans were emptied yesterday I immediately refilled the organics one with a pile of loose leaves that would be difficult to drag out for bulk trash.  The piles never made it out over the weekend, but Tom and Alex still have almost a week left to do that.

I was deciding what to do next (it was just too nice to stay indoors) when Bruce and Susan arrived, with large poodles Wally and Lenny.  We'd met Wally before (on his previous visit he "taught" Brownie how to chase a ball) but 'puppy' Lenny was a more recent addition to the family.  Lenny was indeed ball crazy, as described.

Brownie was quite aggressive toward him, though Lenny didn't mind; in fact he didn't even seem to notice! Susan was not concerned, but it disturbed me - so eventually I left Brownie in the yard while Susan and I sat in the shade and 'played ball' in the Back 40.  I would have taken a photo of the dogs playing except my camera was MIA (and later found 'hidden' on the couch under a pile of the fabric I'm still sorting.)

The official high in Phoenix yesterday hit 92 degrees, setting several records for the day.  These next few days will also be warm, though it does cool off swiftly (and considerably) once the sun dips down. That of course means it'll be less pleasant to deal with irrigation Thursday evening, when we're scheduled for 8:30-10:30.  Sure was nice dealing with everything during  daylight hours....

Because I was waiting to hear back from a couple of new doctor's offices it was necessary to answer unfamiliar numbers on my phone yesterday.  While the first number was indeed spam, the second call was from what will be my new PCP Dr. Guice (I now have my initial appointment in December) and the third call was from the bone specialist Dr. Bhalla (I have an appointment this coming Monday.)

I had  tried to watch Season 4 of The Crown on Sunday evening, but Netflix would only send me to Season 2.  When I tried again yesterday I had the same result.  So of course when the following an e-mail arrived today I assumed <sigh> I would finally be able to watch it.

Now on Netflix

Season 4

Except when I clicked "PLAY" it still sent me to Season 2.

I have NO idea why these things are so difficult for me.  As mentioned before, it's not like I am trying to hack into the Pentagon.  And I am equally frustrated when I hear "it should work" because OF COURSE IT SHOULD... it just DOESN'T!

Time for a soak and then I'll decide what to do with my day.
