WEDNESDAY

Sandy came over in the morning to be here for the aide interview, and installed the new printer cartridges. Mom liked Mirza, who addressed her concerns, and we are now waiting to hear if the new aide can start tomorrow.

We dropped off Mom's hearing aid for cleaning (repair?) and then the three of us lunched at TJ's.  I had their famous onion soup.  Ambulance showed up and took a (Riderwood?) man away.

Connected with Ed, and grab bar will be installed first thing Thursday morning.

Headache - bur no Tylenol, aspirin, etc in the apartment

Dinner with Sue this evening over at Seasons. Remodeling looks spiffy. Mom rode in the wheelchair, and we took the more direct route outside to get there, then came home afterward via the inside, but longer, route. Not much appetite (weepy eye, and nauseated) but luckily Sue had some Tylenol in her bag  Wish I'd known there was a little convenience store down the hall (it would have been open when we got there. )

Stretched out on the couch when we got home, and dozed off.  Still slept last night, even falling back asleep after each bathroom run during the night.  Foot is doing okay.

THURSDAY

Headache still here, though not too bad (yet) this morning.   on p early, so I had plenty of time to shower before the guys come to install the grab bar.  Did a great job (did have to cut into the wall, found cement from stairwell so needed additional metal brace) and after the fill and paint you'd never know anything was done.

My leftover salmon made a good lunch, and Mom enjoyed some of her alfredo pasta leftover from TJ's. So far we haven't had to delve into the groceries I bought the other day.

Crew came to take away etagere and TV (was not expecting them until Friday - and in fact the guy did show up again Friday morning with a work order to do that....) but the closet-rod adjusters never showed, though we waited all afternoon.  (Did empty out closet, so it may be a tad difficult for Mom to find what she wants to wear today.)

I had hoped to be able to scoot over to the store yesterday and pick up some Tylenol (working on Day 2 of my usual 3-day headache) but was afraid to leave the apt because that would be when the closet-rod guy would show up.  Luckily we made it over to Town Center (where we were meeting Lucille for dinner) a few minutes before the pharmacy closed.  So I was able to drop off one of Mom's refills and pick up some relief for me.  Every visit, when I see Lucille (96?) I think it may be the last time... but she's still hanging in there.  We had our usual lovely visit together.

FRIDAY -

PT Jocelle is coming at 11, OT Bonnie coming at 12, Mirza called to say that Ann Marie cannot start today as planned.  Lots more laundry already done this morning, and the afternoon will be spent waiting on closet rod guy - and then schlepping all the clothes back in there.

Got quite the e-mail from Marilyn regarding her trip to Ohio for the dog show:

Crazy week.  Rain dogged me all the way to Ohio, took a terrible banana peel fall in the motel 6 bathroom in Brinkley AR, Stubby had to go to emergency vet here in Ohio and get anesthetized for a festering porcupine quill, then had diarrhea from the sedation and meds, it has rained here and is cold, wet and very muddy, and more rain is coming in time to pack up to leave.
But!  I visited my friend Gail in Cincinnati which was nice (and rainy) and I won the raffle for the DCAF chairs this year which comes with VIP seating perks. And yes, saw some dog friends from other parts of the country. Not my best DCA, but things could always be worse.
