Not such a propitious start to my work session.  

First, I started out "sewing" a number of seams without a bobbin, though of course that's always an easy fix.  Then,  after I wound a new bobbin the needle threader was uncooperative and eventually I had to rethread the machine manually.  Again, no biggie.  The real frustration was that my first actual seam was all wonky so I got to play with the seam ripper. 

But I persevered! <g>

After I trim the sides I can join the rows.  

But first, time for a reading break!
