Miss Dad a lot - but focusing on happy memories on this Father's Day.

An early 90th birthday celebration here in Phoenix ten years ago -

and the real birthday celebration a few weeks later in Maryland.

And then just a couple of weeks later he was gone.

I've been seeing a large rabbit over the past few days, and this morning it was in the backyard at the same time Brownie and I were.  (He, however, was clueless as to its presence.)  I was worried it would be trapped if Brownie spotted it, but despite its size it slipped right through the chain link fence - with Brownie none the wiser.

Spoke with Mom this morning, albeit briefly since the closed captions weren't working on her phone.  She relayed how there was a "bit of excitement" Friday morning.

Apparently she had stayed up "later than she should have" the previous evening, and thus slept that morning.  So she didn't hear the doorbell/knocking when her aide showed up (as scheduled each day) at 10:00.  Cynthia called Security to let her in, and while waiting for them also called Andy & Sandy (who at the time were hosting the law party at The Institute) to alert them to a possible "situation".

Of course all was well - and Mom said she made sure she was up in time yesterday.
