Reasonable start to the morning (we did not even aim for midnight last night) so by 6:30 I was working on the quilt.  Sadly I had all sorts of trouble making my 'HST', and wasted a little of the dark/cream fabrics.  

But since those first several constructions turned out SO ridiculous I am too embarrassed to share them; you'll just have to take my word for it that they are (way!) beyond rookie mistakes!

I finally looked up a tutorial, which gave me a DUH moment...

and now (it's 8:00!) I should be able to make some actual progress!

So off to sew!
