Yesterday I did make one test sashing from two "perfect" fabrics I'd chosen.  But it turns out there isn't enough contrast, so I'm going to to select something different (aka brighter) for that today.

Last evening a friend of Alex's, with a dog, was passing through town and stopped in for a visit. No surprise that Brownie was thrilled when he got to go on a walk with them, though it was still toasty out; at 6:00 the news reported we were still registering triple digits, with 102.  So while they weren't gone terribly long I was not surprised that Brownie returned home panting some.

Tom had his back MRI at 7:00 last evening - and it was a bit of a cluster-fuck.  Long story short, the results "may not" be at the doctor's office by tomorrow, when Tom was counting on finally finding out what the problem is.  (I know exactly how that feels!)

He's supposed to head to Oregon mid-June for his annual rock collecting trip, but of course that's pretty much up in the air at this point.
