I thoroughly enjoyed today's meeting at Foothills; our 'rowdy' table was definitely having fun! And I was productive, making substantial progress on the binding (which I'd started yesterday, and worked on during Greta's visit last evening.)

It was a nice surprise to win today's door prize, this set of five fat quarters.

Today's program was Grandma's Quilts, where ladies brought in family heirlooms.  There sure were some lovelies, and (not surprisingly) virtually all were exquisitely hand-pieced and hand-quilted.

During Show & Tell I received approval for my Scrap String quilt and  my Chain Link top.

Louise assembled these heart blocks, from various ladies, into this happy quilt.  Not so happy was the news that today was her last meeting, because she'll be moving back to Maryland with family.  We will miss her!

Lynn's baby quilt showcased a cheery llama print, and was adorable.

I arrived home to unfortunate news re irrigation repairs:

Unfortunately, we will not be able to run the June 14th, westside irrigation cycle.  We are sure that in this time we have all experienced delays in shipments and that is exactly what has happened with the parts needed for completing the pump repairs.  We have been assured the parts will be in and repairs completed by next week.

The revised projected schedule sounds a bit confusing - but the bottom line is that we will be going without water even longer than originally thought.

Our goal is to begin irrigating again on June 21st, with a full (west & east) cycle, this will take us into Saturday the 26th or Sunday the 27th. We will then begin our split cycle on June 28th with just the west side irrigating. Please note the west side will be irrigating on back-to-back weeks. Then our next cycle which will be the east side only, will begin on Tuesday July 6th, due to the holiday.  We should then be back to our regular split cycle schedules.

Pokey is not happy with the already crunchy grass, and of course it's just going to worsen over the next few weeks.

This afternoon I took care of a couple of errands (gas, library) and then finished binding the scrap strings :-) before dinner.
