Marcie and Latina brought over some scraps, a couple of which are the right color for the crib quilt.  Tyga (and Alex) cruised over, but Latina is still ignoring him.  Too bad, because they could have so much fun playing together.  Marcie's take is that Latina hasn't figured out yet that she's a dog!

Alex called around and found an RV place nearby that had windshield wipers.  He invited me to go along for the ride, which would have been my first.  However, it didn't quite work out as planned...

Dead in the water, so to speak!  And with more rain coming down (and more on tap for tomorrow) he may not be going anywhere any time soon.  He had hoped to make a run up to the Grand Canyon for a few days, but between being stuck in the mud and not having windshield wipers, that plan may need to be revised.

It took a tow-truck

and made quite a gouged mess out front... but the RV is now unstuck!

The evening news showed a lot of rescues (the reason we have a Stupid Motorist Law!) and said today was the 8th wettest day on record.

It's already the wettest October... and it's only October 2nd!
