Did some final sewing this morning - and then (LONG overdue!) cleaned my machine.  I had been  afraid to do it until I finished up all the current projects (with deadlines) because sometimes I have trouble putting everything back together in working order.  Naturally my dust bunnies had morphed into dust elephants.

And yes, it was the usual struggle getting the bobbin case back in correctly.  I had set it down carefully to 'remember' the alignment... but then accidentally knocked it off its perch.

It is definitely cooler than yesterday, and cloudy and threatening rain, so today Tyga is enjoying his time snuggled under the afghan.  (Tom missed it last evening, when Tyga was also using it!)

Pokey has also noticed the change in temperature lately, and has been hanging out in her crate at night.  Though not the brightest of creatures, she does remember where the heat lamp is!

If the rain holds off, after the gym I may get around to (again) trimming to wildly overgrown lantana out front.  It has been quite happy with all the rain!

Here it is trying to hide one of the salvias.

Still, they've been much happier with the cooler temps - and rain!

The color just isn't right in these photos.
They really are a deeper, more vibrant red than the pix show.

The shamrock has also perked up considerably
with the arrival of our "new" weather...

as has the bird-of-paradise plant (which never did bloom this first season.)
