For a day when (for a change!) I had nothing scheduled,
it sure feels like I've been really busy!

First thing I took care of were lots of remodel-related phone calls (to the appliance store, the electrician, the cabinet store, etc.) Talked to Linda, and tried to catch up with Colleen - but after just a few minutes something would happen on one end or the other, so with a quick "call you back in a bit" we played phone tag all day.

Alex came by for a bit with the chicks, who had a good time eating bugs in the back yard - and riding on Pokey!

Marcie came by to see the pix from yesterday because she hasn't been able to access the Foothills site (where I got them all posted in a timely fashion.)  Turns out it wasn't an issue on her end at all; Linda's been waiting to get the list of new members from the treasurer, but until then can't grant them permission to gain access.

It worked out for Bill to swing by today and run the power wires through the island to the edge for that (eventual) outlet; no surprise he agreed with me that it would be easier to get that done before the counter tops go on.  He also got into one of the ceiling light fixtures to see what's currently back there.  IF it was canister-ready (hey, it could happen, right?) there would be a lot less electrical work needed (and thus a substantial monetary saving) though we'd be more limited in what light fixtures we could choose.  No real surprise that there wasn't much there, so even though it means more work it also means we can pretty much get anything we like.

It's not going to work to pick up the rest of Nancy's sewing stuff on Tuesday, as originally planned for the Busy Bee meeting the next day, because Steve is heading out of town today and won't be back by then.  But I did pop over when he got home from work this afternoon so I could pick up the sewing machine manual for Monica.

Cesar started on the tile today. Even with no grout, just spacers,
it already looks wonderful!
