I had to wait for it to get light enough to go out and work on the Back 40 oleander hedge.  Around 6:00, just about the time I was finished for the day (figured I'd collected my daily quota of scrapes and scratches) I found this abandoned hummingbird nest:

Our recycling got picked up yesterday, but not our trash.  I'm assuming there was a problem with the truck and they didn't just forget about us...

 but 'just in case' I'll add another phone call to today's list of things to do.
