Wednesday?  Who knows! <g>  Been dragging the past few days.

Thursday Michael finished laying the tile.

In the evening we all headed down to Michael and Loretta's for Tina's 12th birthday party.  Cheryl had picked up Tina's gift, two red-eared sliders, and had had quite a time keeping them contained during her 2-hour drive here.

On the drive over last night I sat in the back, tasked with keeping them from escaping their Styrofoam container.  Once at the house I helped carry in the food, and when I went back to the car one had escaped and was on the back seat.

Lazed away the morning today - and still dragging - but did go for a soak with Karen this afternoon.  Enjoyed this hummer painted on a car.

On the way back I stopped at the swimming pool where I visited with Eileen and Kate (who were playing a rousing game of Scrabble) and of course checked on the hummer nest.  It looks quite crowded with Mama and the two little ones, though we all assume the babies will fledge any day.  Unfortunately none of the pix I took included the nest, which is easy to find with the naked eye, but not through the zoomed-in lens.

The other evening the conversation turned to the time Richard and Elinor worked in Japan.  Terry and Neil had gone for a visit, and when she dug out her photos from then there were some others on that roll of film.  Who is the baby with James?

Thought I recognized that little one -

But it was Lisa, not Alex!
