Karen's birthday celebration continued yesterday.  Elinor & Richard returned from camping, and brought her birthday gift.

Always lots of smiles and fun when the three sisters get together.

And each summer I try for an "official" portrait!

We were 12 for dinner last night.  Terry had spent ALL DAY in the kitchen, whipping up a new recipe which turned out absolutely scrumptious and got rave reviews from everyone.  And for dessert, at Karen's request, she'd made a Boston cream pie, which was also scrumptious.

Haven't soaked since the beginning of the week (I was somewhat indisposed for a couple of days) but today could be the day!  Karen and Elinor and I had planned to do that yesterday, but by the time Elinor got here the weather had turned nasty (cloudy, chilly, very windy, and with a little rain) so that didn't happen.
