MY idea of March Madness was spending all day yesterday
at the AQG quilt show, admiring all the spectacular quilts.

It was fun to wander by my quilt and eavesdrop on comments, which were always positive.  If there had been a 'cuteness' category I definitely would have been in the running for a ribbon!

Joyce's quilt had the honor of hanging next to mine.

Wanda and friends snared a well-deserved ribbon
for their collaborative Sedona piece.

Wanda also entered several other pieces.  Here's her spectacular Grand Canyon piece, which (surprisingly!) did not capture a ribbon.  We all know that pictures do NOT do the quilts justice!!!

I also entered a piece in the Anything Goes fabric challenge.  We were all given the same 3 fabrics with which to "do something"; I whipped up this simple Disappearing 9-patch.

Most of the other entries were MUCH more creative.  Here are some of them.

First, the wall-hangings:

Several of the entries were purses/bags/bowls:

Other entries included a pillow, an apron, and even a clock.

I have LOTS more pix to post, but don't want to overload this entry.
