Back to the 'daily grind'

Have spent the morning catching up on 'to do' things here at home.

Much of my time was spent on the phone with the insurance company and repair shop.  Happy to report that the other guy's insurance is taking 100% liability - including a rental car for Alex to use while his gets fixed!  The plan is to take the Saturn in later this afternoon after he gets back from school.

Turns out that Alex knows someone who works at one of the repair shops that was on the State Farm list, so we chose that one.  When I called that shop to arrange things, Sue answered the phone.  And when I mentioned that we chose that shop off of the insurance list because Alex knew one of their employees, she (naturally) asked who that was.  Would you believe Joey turned out to be her son?   Small world!

Have also answered some important e-mails to do with our quilting program/potluck on Wednesday.  That will be a very fun day!  (How could it not be, with quilting and food?)  Here's a quilt named "Potluck":

Now it's time to take a shower, get dressed, and do my 'outside the house' errands.  It rained again last night, and is gray and windy outside, almost like 'real' fall/winter weather, so I am not likely to have my sun roof open today!
