Advice from a Quilter

I think all of life is a process, just like quilting is.
We are given these pieces to put together as we see fit;
everyone is going to see them and put them together differently.
Sometimes it is easy and the pieces just fit,
sometimes we have to go back and redo.
Other times we have to completely alter our original plan
because the path is taking us in a whole new direction.
Then the quilt comes out entirely different
from what we first envisioned,
but it is still rewarding and it is still beautiful in its own way.

As Paula, one of my quilting mentors, always said when I ran into a snag,
"It's not a problem, it's a Design Opportunity!"
And trust me when I say I've had my share of design opportunities!
