orangutan kiss

A little boy got more than he bargained for when he put his lips up to the glass of an orangutan’s enclosure at the Moscow Zoo. A huge orangutan tried to kiss him back, mimicking the child’s pose. Russian photographer Olga Dmitrieva was on hand to capture the scene.
I was not lucky enough to capture a similar moment with Alex.  Many winters ago we were having lunch at The Lodge in the Hualapai Mountains (outside of Kingman) after recent heavy snowfalls.  A group of elk were feeding outside, and Alex (3 years old?) pressed up against the large picture window for a better look.  One of the elk came up to the window and pressed its nose against "Alex", as if kissing him.  Would have loved to have had my camera at that moment!
