I met with the orthopedic surgeon today, and it looks like I'm finally going to have to bite the bullet and have the surgery on my hand.
The plan is to schedule it after the holidays, in January. Of course it's very disappointing that the latest cortisone shot didn't help much, but I always knew the surgery was inevitable at some point.
The rehab will be lengthy, but the surgeon expects the "aha" moment (no more pain, and the ability to use my hand for virtually everything) to arrive 3-6 months post-op. At least my issue is actually fixable....could be worse!
Mr. Squirrel reminds me to mention that it is COLD day today -
only in the 50s, overcast and windy.
At least here, winter is a fleeting thing. VERY fleeting!
