I received a second 89¢ check in the mail from Aetna.  

It may be 'better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick' (as Ann would say)

but 89¢ doesn't go very far these days so it's hard to get too excited.

I'm off to see the rheumatologist in a little bit.  

Naturally my rash looked a whole lot better when I woke up this morning 

(maybe the ointment is finally starting to work?) but I do still itch. 

Tomorrow Patti and I are heading up to Flagstaff 

for the annual Pickin' in the Pines concert.  

We went last year, and the music was amazing - more than 'just' the usual bluegrass type of bands.  No surprise that I'm really looking forward to going somewhere (anywhere!) and having a good time.
