Alex and I went to dinner last night at Claim Jumper.  The meal was delicious (AND I have plenty of leftovers to do it all over again tonight) plus I got to hear all about his trip to the music festival in Dallas.  He sure had a good time, though he worked long hours.  He'll be working another one, in a couple of weeks, in Florida.

During the meal he got an out-of-the-blue text from someone who ripped him off last year (stole Alex's iPod, watch, and a whole bunch of cash from the house.)  The guy has apparently turned himself around and wants to "make things right"; he is offering to repay the money and pay to replace the other items.  Alex is understandably a little skeptical and currently in the "wait and see" mode.

This morning Kathi stopped by with more fabric for me (she's been continuing to muck out her house and her mom's.)  That kitty fabric will make an adorable quilt for a little one.

This green velvet could very well work itself into a landscape quilt as grass, 

and the sheer yellow all sorts of possibilities....
