I popped over to visit Patti and check on yesterday's injury. Both of her knees are skinned and otherwise banged up, and I got to see a pic of the actual wound (which looks pretty nasty in the photo but of course is all covered up with a dressing.) She's sore in other places also, but obviously it could have been so much worse - like last time! - so we're both grateful.
With our early Spring and warm temps everything is blooming around the Valley. Here she is by her flower garden from the (obviously perennial) seeds I brought back for her from my visit to Monet's garden in Giverny back in 2013. There are lots of buds that are getting ready to burst into bloom. Maybe by this weekend, when I'm over there doing our joint yard sale?
And her Bird of Paradise plant has lots and lots of lovely blooms also!
Marilyn and Frannie returned from the last day of the dog show around noon, with a fistful of ribbons from the 3 days, a mug, and (probably most appreciated by Frannie) a couple of bags of doggie biscuits.
Marilyn let me take her picture!
Since she missed the second half of the movie last night (and dozed through part of the first half) we watched that again this afternoon. Then I worked on a reading glasses holder for her to velcro under the tiny table next to her recliner at home. We shall see <g> whether it works for her or not...
In other news, the mallards came by again for another dip this afternoon. Check out this spectacular mallard photo that one of the bird people posted on FB today!
