Yesterday's fawn that was 'trapped' in the backyard; hope the spots show.  Wasn't it considerate of it to pose next to the (one!) Indian Blanket wildflower that has bloomed out of the handful of seeds that Terry tossed out there?  When they were building the kitchen, the steady stream of truck traffic (the reason the fence had come down and needed to be resurrected) had killed the ground cover, and Terry was trying to repair that damage.

I didn't sleep well (was still awake, tossing and turning at midnight - plus I got up at 1:00 and again at 2:00) so I gave myself permission to skip swimming laps and go straight to soaking.  This morning there was a penguin swimming around!

along with a couple of other critters.

Two-year-old Gracie had a ball finding some of the treasures I tossed in this morning

It had rained (yet again) this morning and was a little cool out, so the folks there were quite happy to be introduced to Sam McGee.  Several of us were teachers, and we shared stories of our various experiences. Mine in Supai were deemed quite impressive, especially by Carl... though his, in the field of (PFM) electricity, certainly impressed me!
