A bird just slammed into the window here by the computer.  I figured it was a hummer, but when I went outside to check I found a small bird, grey/brown with a yellow head, on the ground below the feeder.  Finch? Warbler?  (My bird ID book is out in the hot tub.) When I went to pick it up it fluttered away on the porch, running into the wall in several places.  So I retreated back inside so as not to stress it out any further.  Hope it's okay!

STILL hot here - no real surprise - and no real relief in sight as we continue to set new records almost daily. I am VERY grateful for A/C and our pool!
