Lisa had an appointment to get some recall work done on her car, so I met her and Chas at the dealership for their 10:30 appointment and we went out to lunch at Pita Jungle. (I've been jonesing for some of their hummus.)
After a yummy lunch we went across the street to JoAnn's to kill a little more time (I needed some white denim to patch a pair of white jeans, and they were looking for fabric to recover some chairs at their new place.) Although it was supposed to take between 1.5 and 2 hours to fix the car, the work was still not done so we popped into Ross where Lisa found some good deals on teaching clothes for next year.
A call to the dealership yielded some good news/bad news. The good news was that we could come pick up the car; the bad news was that it wasn't fixed.
Apparently it needs more than the recall work, the part would need to be ordered, and that would take 5 days. Guess she'll have to deal with it back in Tucson.
I did finish up binding a preemie quilt today. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, and hope that some little baby enjoys snuggling with it as much as I have enjoyed making it. (The back is flannel, with tiny pink and green polka dots; the binding is plain white flannel.)
