Pretty lazy day yesterday - we got more rain later in the afternoon - but I did get in a lot of reading, finishing up a long book: Sacred Hunger, by Barry Unsworth.  Not easy reading, both with regard to the style of writing and the subject matter, but I can see why it won awards.

Last night, as a thank you for our hospitality, Dave treated us to dinner at Touch of Thai - because (as Alex said) it was a good night for soup!  Back at the house we spent the evening discussing movies and offering suggestions of "must see" titles to each other.

This morning I whipped up another batch of deviled eggs to take to book club tonight, and in a few minutes am off to lunch with some of the Foothills ladies.  Sue is going in for more heart surgery on Friday, and we wanted to get together with her before then. (She had to miss the September meeting because of a heart test.)
