It was a long business meeting at Foothills yesterday, and Colleen's doctor (who had canceled an appointment for this week) found a last minute slot at 1:00, so we had to leave shortly after Show & Tell started. She never did get to share any of her quilt goodies that I had convinced her to bring, which was unfortunate for everyone. But the really frustrating part was that when she got to the doctor's office it turned out they were running TWO HOURS BEHIND, and asked her to return at 3:00. Maybe the office could have called her to let her know? Aggravating!
Wanda called yesterday afternoon to chat and catch up. No surprise she had a delightful time over the weekend with family and friends at her granddaughter's wedding. The ceremony was held outside in the late afternoon when it was quite sunny and hot; obviously when they'd planned all the festivities they figured it would have cooled off by now. Now that Wanda's recovered from all her company and hubbub she's starting on her next jacket. The fabric is beautiful to begin with, and with her talents and creativity it will be another stunner when she's done.
Patti and I had a yummy dinner at Panera Bread (and I brought home a mega-sandwich for Tom) where we caught up on things. Her hand/wrist is doing much better (less pain, more range of motion) though she's still going to PT twice a week, and it could take 18 months to get everything back to normal.
This morning I'm off to Starbucks with Jeannie for the monthly get-together with some of the NightOwl ladies, though with all the regrets it sounds like today there will just be a few of us who can make it. Then Colleen may be able to come over for a bit today to help with organizing my quilting stuff since that didn't happen yesterday.
