The first dinner cooked in the new kitchen was a success.  Here's Tom whipping up his delicious fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. 

Wanda joined us for dinner (she brought me a nice surprise that is making my feet very happy) and the four of us certainly enjoyed all of Tom's efforts.  Admittedly there was somewhat of a mess in the kitchen afterward, but it was well worth it.  And the cleaner & scrubbie that came with the glass cooktop made clean up easy.  

The new dishwasher is currently running its first load, though it took several tries (even with the instruction booklet) to figure out how to get it to start. I purposely gave things just a quick rinse before loading them so I can see just how well it cleans.  It's definitely quieter than our old one.
