The class I taught at Busy Bees this morning, on making a mesh tote bag, was a success - and virtually all of the ladies finished. Not only were they thrilled to actually have a completed project at the end of a class (instead of adding yet another UFO to their collection) but everyone seemed pleased with the final results, and (a true testament!) most planned to whip up additional ones for gifts.

The ladies have promised to bring all the finished bags to the next business meeting, where I should be able to get a nice photo.
Grace was binding a baby quilt for her friend Anna, who just became a grandmother. Sadly Anna lost her own mom recently, and what is really special is that Grace made the quilt from two housecoats of hers. So even though the baby will never know her great-grandmother, she'll still be wrapped in some of her love!
Alex just stopped by for a short visit early this afternoon. (We never saw him yesterday because he didn't get back to the house until after we'd gone to bed last night.) He's off to get his hair cut and run some errands, and we're heading off shortly to the cabinet place (which wasn't open on Monday), but we'll get more caught up at dinner tonight. He did say he has "some news" to share with us then.
Am I the only one who hates hearing that, and then having to wait for whatever it is? Naturally my mind is running rampant with all sorts of possibilities!
