This morning there were some workers replacing one of the irrigation gates across the street. It turns out that they are going to be doing more work in the neighborhood on Monday, and I asked whether that included replacing the pipe under our street. Long story short: Nate is going to run a camera into the pipe under the street on Monday since there seems to be some confusion about whether or not the pipe is actually broken and needs to be replaced.
After the house came close to flooding a couple of cycles ago (and would have if we hadn't been here to deal with the crisis!) it would give us great peace of mind to know that there isn't another emergency just waiting to strike... especially since we will be out of town during the next cycle!
Emilee called this morning when I was on the way to the gym. It seems Tilly may have found her forever home, and will be leaving us on Sunday. She's been here 3 months and we've gotten used to having her around, though it is definitely a hassle each time we get irrigation.
I had a vigorous workout at the gym today. On my way home I stopped in at the nail salon to give Louisa an update on Carol's situation. At that point Carol was still in the hospital, but she called a little while ago to let me know where she'd been moved. Tomorrow Colleen and I are going to visit her.
This afternoon I did some fabric sorting and sewing, and then took care of Lisa and Steve's irrigation for them. Alex joined us for dinner, and updated us on his upcoming travel plans for work (though of course they are always fluid.)
