Alex called last evening to say they were getting ready to head back from Albuquerque and expected to arrive around 4:00 am this morning; since he didn't have his keys (they were over here) he needed me to unlock the door.  While each vehicle had at least 2 drivers (and in theory one of them would sleep while the other one drove a shift) it was still a relief to wake up and see the truck and van parked in front of the guest house when I went out to soak this morning.

Dinner at Pei Wei's last night was less than a roaring success (the young woman taking our order and giving us our water cups handled them on the top where we put our  mouths, both drink machines were out of ice, we waited a long time for our orders and then mine arrived cold, etc.) but since other visits have gone well I'll just chalk it up to them having an off night.

I was dragging by yesterday afternoon (and feeling down) 

and think I was just especially missing Dad.
