On Pinterest, Janet the Quilter has multiple boards and posts a lot of great stuff.

I foresee (TOO?) many happy hours at the computer, oohing and aahing, and (like I really need to?!?!) collecting ideas for new quilts!

Now for some of the Show&Tell pix from yesterday's meeting.  I'm apologizing in advance for the lousy quality (blurry, heads cut off, etc.) of many of them.

This was one of Ruth's UFO quilts.
Her redwork snowmen sure turned out cute!

Here's another UFO of Ruth's, from our row challenge of 'several' years ago.  She chose one of MY favorites subjects, penguins!  I remember trading fabrics with her when we were working on this challenge one day at her house.

Here's a cute tree pattern for those of you looking for some Christmas ideas.
Looks to me like the blocks would work up fairly quickly.

Yolanda was all smiles when she shared this happy charity quilt - though not when she shared the news that her DIL is being shipped off to Iraq soon!  :(

Sharon made this quilt from scraps.  (I didn't know she ever had scraps....lol)

A few of her blocks ended up on the back.
Be sure to notice her pretty quilting.

The theme for the AQG Fall Meeting in November is Black & White and Something All Over.  Sharon didn't know about that when she made this quilt, but when I announced it at yesterday's meeting she realized she was all ready for that challenge with this one!  Too bad my photo doesn't really show all the tiny triangles in her inner border (made from the little leftover pieces she snipped from her blocks.)

Carolyn M. spent the summer up in nice cool Show Low, where she whipped out whole piles of charity quilts, most from flannel.  Too bad the photographer <g> snapped a really blurry shot of his adorable one, with fussy cut princesses in the centers of her blocks.

We all admired this bag of Janie's, and she's offered to give the pattern away to anyone who wants it.  Because of problems during construction she says she's never going to make another one!

After the Foothills meeting I popped over to Quilter's Bee and Margaret helped me pick out border fabrics for 2 baby quilts.  And I was very good; I didn't even LOOK at anything else.  Sort of.  There was some incredible cardinal fabric from Hoffman on the New Arrival display that I called Sharon about.

.I know she's packing up all of her quilting stuff in preparation for their move (they're building a new house) and said she won't be sewing for a while.  But the fabric is stunning, and I think she'll be sorry if she doesn't grab some!

Once home I actually started working on the border for kitty quilt before I realized I was too tired to continue, and -yep - took an afternoon cat nap.

Last night we were invited to dinner across the street.  Estera had cooked a Romanian dish using some chickens from their flock.  It was delicious, and I cleaned my plate - twice!  The kids have been busy growing like weeds.  Willie, who just turned 3 last month, is as tall as a 5-year-old.  (Of course Ben is quite tall, so it's not that much of a stretch that his son is also.)  Julianna will be 2 in December, and was quite friendly; after dinner she was constantly crawling into my lap, which really surprised me.  Because of all of her medical problems (she's still on oxygen) Julianna's always been incredibly attached to her mom; she would scream any time Estera left the room... or  practically any time anyone even looked at her.

FYI In January Willie and Julianna will be getting a little brother.  (Ben & Estera are ultimately planning for 4 children.)

During the weather report on the news last night I was thrilled to hear that our weather is going to be drying out - the humidity has really been draining.  Even though temps never reached triple digits yesterday it was muggy and miserable.  So even though we're heading back into the triple digits it's going to feel much, much better soon.  Really, Mom!

Kaye and Teresa are coming over this afternoon (the guys will do a little knapping IF it's cool enough out in the shop) and staying for dinner.  Maybe I will get the borders on one of my quilts before then.
