Frank's funeral this morning was at the National Cemetery on Cave Creek.  I'd never been there, and it's quite pretty.  This was also my first military funeral; very nicely done, but sad - Frank was only 64.

Otherwise (!)  it's a beautiful day so I'm puttering in the yard. I repotted the pepper plant, and hope it does well.  It moved from a small pot to a very large one, instead of just stepping up a little in size.  (Tom wanted it in a large pot, but that may be one reason why the plants haven't done well past a certain stage.  We shall see.)

The forecast for the next 7 days is pretty consistent, with temps in the mid-80s.  Everything is blooming madly (everyone with allergies is miserable) and nice and green.

I picked up a table from Summer for the yard sale (will get Jeannie's tomorrow), and her son Karl came over to climb the fir tree and get rid of some of the piles of dead needles 'nesting' up in the branches.  He made a dent in it, but got hungry and headed home for lunch.

And that reminds me - Pokey was more than satisfied with the thawed strawberry tops Cheri saved for her.  She devoured them all (and no doubt would have eaten more if I'd had more to give her.)

And speaking of piggies, some of the hummingbird feeders are getting pretty low and need to be refilled soon.  One hummer just got chased away from the patio feeder and crashed into the window by the computer with the other hummer in hot pursuit

but despite the loud thunk it seems okay since it flew off.
