Yesterday was pretty lazy except for an early morning run to the grocery store. But today started out with a bit of excitement. Looked out the window while I was waiting for my coffee - and saw what seemed to be an empty pool!
Went out to investigate, and the water that should have been in the pool was pouring madly from the pump. Woke Tom up (no, he was not thrilled!) and he says it looks like the filter burst. Now the pump is off and the pool (which turned out to 'only' be half empty) is refilling. Once the pool folks open for business I'll schedule a repair. On the plus side, the backyard is getting a very nice drink of water (although it already got some last night during a storm, complete with thunder and lightning.)
Lisa just got back from a trip down to Tucson for a curriculum meeting. Now that she has a better idea of what she will actually be teaching she's busy working on lesson plans. During her drive flashing lights pulled up behind her. Despite the fact that she wasn't speeding or otherwise (knowingly) breaking the law, it was not a pleasant feeling (as we all know!) In any event, she pulled over into the right lane preparing to pull onto the shoulder, and happily the cruiser sped right on past her.
It's a little overcast here this morning (although it's still early - could be bright and sunny before too long.) Just though I'd share this beautiful sun rise.
(Wouldn't it made an absolutely gorgous landscape quilt?!)
I just love PICKLES.
And the next time the Hubby complains out how much fabric we're buying, here's the perfect answer:
And now I'm off to start my third set of 9 blocks before I fade for the day.
