I feel a little guilty enjoying our glorious weather while the rest of the country is having tornados and fires and snow and 'whatever'. But it sure was another nice day.
Took advantage of it and did some raking (there's no end to that, with all of our wonderful trees, although our 2 big trash cans will only hold so much each week) and picked up fallen citrus before irritation tonight. We sure appreciate the cheap water and deep soaking everything gets. On the downside, the seasonal waterers up-ditch from us drop out this time of year so we're back to doing the gates on 35th Ave. Which wouldn't be so bad, except that enough folks have dropped out overall to push us into a less desirable time-slot. At least I'll be able to crash after I do the gates on 35th because I've tasked Alex with letting the water go this time. Naturally he was less than thrilled since having to be home for 5 minutes to do all the gates in the backyard at 12:40 a.m. really cuts into his Friday night partying...but I'll be having enough trouble staying awake until 10 p.m. to do the gates on 35th Ave.! I am definitely an early bird (always have been, even as a teenager and young adult) and was up at 5:30 this morning.
