Yesterday was one of those days where I got a whole slew of piddly errands done. They were all in the same general vicinity, none of them took very long, and it felt great to be able to cross so many things off of my 'to do' list. Obviously I had a much better day that this guy is about to...
I also got a good start on the second half of my I SPY, although might not make too much additional progress the next couple of days because of other things going on.
This morning I Record for the Blind, and then this afternoon Sapphire has her annual check up with the vet. While dogs don't seem to mind going (they love going anywhere, and of course there are always treats at the vet!) cats are a different breed, so to speak.
In the old days, Sapphire would look wonderful and healthy for 364 days each year - but at the vet's, she would drool uncontrollably and her hair would fall out in clumps, just from the stress. Now (this summer she reached the ripe old age of 15) she's having difficulty keeping food down... and having lost more than half of her body weight in the past few years she doesn't look so good to begin with. Hope the stress of today's visit doesn't kill her!
Last year they decided not to give her the annual shots, and she's continued her decline. Otherwise she seems happy enough, still purrs constantly, and moves really fast when it's feeding time (which happens at least 4 times a day now), but is really just skin and bones.
