Floor update!

Cesar quit for the day at 6:00; tomorrow he'll finish laying the rest of the tile. Notice he did leave us a pathway to walk on through the far side of the kitchen and into the TV room; he's done this before!

Then on Saturday, when Marcie and I will be at the annual bluegrass festival in Wickenburg, he'll do the grout.  Surprisingly he says that's his least favorite part of the process, which reminds me of those ladies who don't like binding their quilts.  You'd think it'd be fun to see how nice it looks all finished, in addition to actually being finished... but as Dad used to say, "That's what makes horse races." 

In any event, by the time I get home late Saturday afternoon

we should (!) have a finished FLOOR!

Today Tom got a confirmation e-mail for the appliance delivery on Monday,

so we continue on schedule.

  This afternoon I checked on the ordered window, and found out that it shipped today - though she couldn't say where it's coming from. In any event it should be here early next week (as promised), giving Bill plenty of time to work its installation into his busy schedule (and hopefully sooner rather than later!)  Guess everyone wants their projects done before Thanksgiving...

Alex is planning a camping trip to Camp Verde next week (just for a night or two) so I might end up chick-sitting.
