Fun at Bunco last night (we were at Mimi's house this month) even with a smaller crowd and having to use ghosts at the tables. I brought the Sight vs.Vision card for Lisa Lane (and everyone else) to look at and try to figure out. Some entertaining guesses - but someone finally got it. Wanna try? I always found it to be the best 'explanation' for parents and classroom teachers to demonstrate what my learning disabled students were experiencing.
Feeling stumped? Try turning your head to look at it this way.
Pokey usually has a good time wading through the flooded yard after irrigation, but yesterday Tom called me outside to see her 'swimming'. She was paddling/splashing with her front legs as if they were flippers, and it was very entertaining! Of course she didn't displace nearly as much water as when (at Lisa's insistence) we sat in the Splash Zone at Sea World. Here are the kids that day, still dry, watching a turtle.
They were quite young (5 and 3?) and to them, splashing had more of a bathtub connotation.
Poor Alex was a very unhappy camper when Shamu practically emptied the pool on us. Lisa wasn't too thrilled, either.
Not much on today's agenda, some maybe I'll get caught up on some odds and ends around the house and yard. And maybe get some bias binding made up for that last hot pad. It could happen.
