Yesterday I saw movement in the pool, and checked to see if something had fallen in and needed to be rescued.   Turned out that Mr. & Mrs. Duck had dropped in to have a swim, and were possibly looking for a place to nest.  While ducklings would be fun to watch waddling around, a family of ducks would certainly make a mess of the pool and deck.  Even if they were provided with their own pool...

  

By the time I grabbed the camera Mr. D had vacated the pool.

And as I moved in closer, they both decided to waddle off.
