Pretty flowers

Look at the pretty flowers that arrived here late Saturday afternoon.  The card (which wasn't signed) thanked us for our gracious hospitality, so I assumed they came from our recent Canadian visitors.  A call to the flower deliverer today confirmed that.

Yesterday was Eat Out Day: lunch at the Wildflower Bread Company (and yes, I did eat some of the bread that came with my salad) and then dinner at Abuelo's (sure do love their chicken tortilla soup, even without the tortilla chips!)   Did a little holiday gift shopping, and also finished up my sister's gift.  Would post a picture here, but don't want to ruin the surprise.  (Hi, Marilyn!)

Tom had planned to take Neil up to Flagstaff today by way of scenic Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon, but the weather certainly did not cooperate.  Even if that road is open (which is questionable) it sounds like the driving would be dicey at best.  Tom's got several other knapping events scheduled for the rest of Neil's visit, but there are still a couple of days it could happen.  Otherwise, Neil will just have to return (from Perth!) another time.
