I will say I admired Alex's dedication to not going over his wrestling weight of 135- it's no small thing for a teenage boy with hollow legs to forgo eating!
Before he even started training he was in great condition, but naturally before he could wrestle he had to have a physical from our doctor. However when he was checked at school and found to have only 3% body fat (we can only dream, right ladies?) we had to go back to the doctor "just to make sure he was actually healthy" and get an additional release form signed.
Here we are at the final match of the season, where the seniors were formally recognized.
(In honor of the school's colors I appropriately wore the sweatshirt I decorated with a penguin block)
Despite missing much of the season because he dislocated his knee during a match early on (after training really hard - it was very discouraging for him)
Alex (in new white singlet just for seniors) did very well that night:
