Attitude is contagious - is yours worth catching?

I saw this quote on a poster years ago, with a book of matches with one lit, and it really struck a chord.  All of us know someone who's perpetually down and can only see the glass as half empty, someone who is constantly complaining and feeling sorry for him/herself, etc.  I'm talking about the person who is blind to all the good things he/she has and can only see what's missing.  It's very draining to be around an energy thief like that.  But small surprise that we enjoy being around those with positive energy.

Yes, we all get down at times, but this quote by Courtney A. Walsh says it well:
"Allow the feelings to flow. Just don't wallow in them. Let the tougher ones be houseguests...not roommates. Allow, flow, grow, get on with the show. Feel them, heal them, move on, up and in."

Some days it's easier than others to 'get on with it' (in my case there's a direct correlation between the amount of sleep I get and my ability to cope) but I keep trying.  And remember: a positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
