Patti is doing well post-surgery. They took all of the hardware out of her ankle - and even sent her home with the pile of metal they removed. Most are 'just' some serious-looking screws, though one piece resembles a spoon. The surgeon also scraped out a lot of scar tissue; once she heals from yesterday's 5 or 6 incisions her foot/ankle should really start to feel a lot better, and hopefully gain more mobility. We had a nice visit - and I heated her up some chicken soup before we left.
Latina's coyote vest arrived, and she wore it when she walked over here this afternoon. Those are some serious spikes - and should "discourage" anything from grabbing her around the neck!
The three Velcro strips down the back are to attach "wands"
to keep hawks from grabbing her.
It was nice enough to (finally) sit outside for a bit this afternoon. Mom is admiring the colors of Tom's latest fire obsidian cab.
