The monsoon season arrived last night, and it was quite the storm in many parts of the Valley. 

We got lots of wind/lightning/thunder here, but only a little bit of rain.  It was no surprise that the pool was quite a mess this morning, from all the leaves and dirt that blew in, but I've already gotten all the big stuff out and now Creepy is doing his thing.  We kept our power, but a lot of others around The Valley weren't so lucky.  Could be a long, hot day for them.

Last night's "Red, White and Boom" (in Ahwatukee) had to be cancelled (for safety reasons when the storm  blew in) so there were lots of disappointed folks out there.  

Unfortunately there's another storm on the horizon for this evening, which could cancel the plans I have with Jan and the girls.  We'll just have play that by ear.

I've been up since 3:00, so unless I manage to take a nap this afternoon I could be cranky tonight, also!
