At Foothills yesterday morning I gave my demo on the Itty Bitty Basket. Linda took some pix, and I'll (probably) share them once I get them.
Other demos were ornaments (Louise M's wreath and Sharon's angel), cloth gift bags for those awkwardly-sized gifts (Mary demonstrated with an adorable clown she'd made), and a candlemat and "well-behaved" stemware coaster (Louise G).
Here are a few of the goodies from Show&Tell
Kim's flag top turned out great -
even if she didn't get it quilted by the recent July 4th deadline.

We all loved this happy scrappy quilt with all the different stars. Sharon made two of these but hadn't quite finished quilting her second one.
And as always (Sharon is 'allergic' to leftover scraps) she used of the rest of her fabrics and fashioned a happy a table topper.
Remember the jelly roll race we had at Linda's last summer?
Cheryl was thrilled that she finally finished hers.
Ada was a first-time visitor who will be joining the group. She brought this BQ top and asked for advice on what to use for a border. Our group was not shy in giving opinions!
Here's another top of Ada's.
She uses labels cut from silk blouses on her quilts. This quilt is named Petite.
Louise M. got a jump on her holiday gifts!
Yolanda is getting ready to go on a wine-tasting trip in California with a group of friends. Each one is going to get a travel bag like this with 'emergency' supplies in it (like a mini-bottle of wine.) One of her granddaughters suggested she put in some wipes "in case someone throws up."
Viola (who is usually cranking out quilts for charity) made this wall hanging for herself. But instead of piecing all the various strips per the directions she simply appliqued the batik pieces onto the green background.
Remember this quilt from the show last winter? (I voted it MY favorite!)
Mary bought the pattern and has started working on it.
She's gotten two blocks done.

After the meeting Linda, Kim and I headed over to Carolyn's to deliver the group's condolence card and some of the refreshments. Carolyn was glad to see us, and is holding up well considering how sudden and unexpected Gary's death was.
At the meeting Linda had shared her own bad news. There's the on-going sad saga with her granddaughter, and then she told us that her nephew was recently murdered trying to protect a friend from her ex-husband. So much sadness.
I stopped at the grocery store to pick up some steaks to grill for dinner since I was expecting Tom home Wednesday. But I figured he'd be in late, so I was quite surprised to fine him already here when I got to the house. Turns out he'd made it all the way to Kingman (from Twin Falls, Idaho) Tuesday night and got an early start Wednesday morning, arriving home shortly after I'd left for quilting. He had a great trip, and brought home LOTS of rock. And some cooler weather - yesterday our high was only 99!
Today Tom's back in the 'real world' after his vacation, and off taking care of stuff (like the lawnmower tire that I killed.) He also needs to arrange to have his truck serviced (it's got 108,000 miles on it) before we take off an another long road trip. At least we won't (?) be picking up and hauling heavy rocks on that trip...
