This afternoon we headed over to Lamps Plus to replace the lamp that sits between our chairs in the living room; it has died by degrees. A month or two ago Tom had a found a lamp he liked, though it was pretty pricey... and we'd need two.  But with the holiday sales going on, this weekend seemed to be the time to finally do something about it.  They didn't have the finish we wanted in stock, so won't have them until later in the week, but I'm looking forward to being able to read in my chair again.

"As long as we were in the neighborhood", we decided to check out Salty Senorita, where Alex worked for a while but we never got around to visiting.  It was pretty quiet early on a Saturday afternoon, but I can see where it could be quite lively later on this evening.

A little more shopping, and then dinner at Sweet Tomatoes.  We were not pleased with the 'improvements' they made a while back (this was our first meal since they reopened) and may even end up crossing it off of our list... we liked it better the way it was!
