Yesterday we hit 95 here, shattering the old record of 91 for this date. Today we are also expected to break the record, but 'only' by a couple of degrees. Obviously we're getting an early start to the warm weather (usually we have another month of only 80s) as if we needed a longer season...!  Each summer seems hotter and longer than the previous one.

The bee man came over last night and took care of our Africanized bees, 

so it should be safe to use the backyard again.  

When I checked this morning, there was a lone bee buzzing about the foam where the opening in the trunk used to be.  I'm sure he was quite confused.  

We would have left them alone if they'd left us alone!
